The complete inventory of the faunistic species in The Herboretum is on-line now!
Making live a spirit of "participative science", The Herboretum appealed to a renowned naturalist to realize a study of the wild fauna of The Herboretum.
After several inventories realized in every season, he announces us his knowledge today: with more than 192 animal species listed on this site, this one acts in the style of an island of life in the middle of the zones of fields and villages!

A New Partner for The Herboretum!
In the framework of a programme of sensitising action, The Herboretum organises educational activities for school groups.
This year, 3 classes have chosen to take part in this programme to help pupils understand the necessity of preserving the biodiversity which surrounds them and which is essential for life.
The Caisse d’Epargne Loire-Centre bank has recently committed alongside The Herboretum by providing its support in fully developing its project.

New Apple Trees at The Herboretum!
Many varieties have been planted on the estate, including : Jolibois, Pied nu, Crapaud, Belle Fleur, Gendreville, De Glace, Reinette d’Orléans and many more.
The Garden of Temptations at The Herboretum, known as ‘the orchard’, currently has almost 80 varieties of Apple trees, half of which are local varieties!
