Partners of The Herboretum

The League for the Protection of Birds works for nearly a hundred years to protect birds, their environment and biodiversity in general, everywhere in France.

It relies on thousands of members, donors and volunteers grouped by department, but all bound by common values. These are everyone's responsibility, safeguarding wildlife essential to the development of human societies, the diffusion of knowledge and respect for natural resources and wealth for sustainable development. These values are also those of The Herboretum. That’s why, it is naturally the collaboration began with the LPO Loiret, represented by Mr. Patrick Duhamel.

The LPO will be at The Herboretum 12 and 26 September and 24 October 2010.
Protecting the Bees at The Herboretum

The Herboretum recently signed a partnership convention with a harvesting bee farm in the Centre region, which, along with The Herboretum Association, commits to improving information and knowledge among the general public on protecting bees. The latter are pollinating insects which guarantee biological diversity and are true indicators of biodiversity.

This partnership has the educational vocation of sensitising the public and making it participate in the various actions to preserve biodiversity, by discovering the biological wealth and diversity which need to be protected.
