Mr et Mme PIOGER have been harvesting beekeepers since 2000, with approximately 500 hives, which they move to summer pastures in the Centre region, so their bees can produce quality regional honey. They also work with farmers who produce vegetable garden seeds, setting up beehives on the plot to be pollinated. Indeed bees are necessary to obtain efficient fertilisation in flowers, healthy fruits, and thus good seed germination. In the framework of the partnerhsip with The Herboretum Association, they provide their know-how and advice in the management of an area containing a dozen beehives which they take care of, also taking part in various activities for the protection of bees.

It was created in 1978, and counts more than fifty groups and associations throughout France, of various sizes, all inspired by the association’s philosophy, and taking part in the missions: protecting the genetic heritage of local and regional fruits, various types of information action, educating the public, editing technical works, and a trimestrial newspaper.

The LPO aims at protecting birds and the ecosystems they depend on, in particular the fauna and flora associated, and more globally biodiversity. The LPO has been the official representer of BirdLife International in France since 1993.
This association aims at protecting biodiversity, through various actions on the field to preserve endangered species, and by encouraging positive attitudes for the protection of biodiversity and the environment in general. To counter the fall in the number of butterflies in France, Noé Conservation launched a ‘Butterflies & Gardens’ programme in 2006, which acts by both preserving butterflies on the field, and educating the public on the environment, in particular with the Butterflies and Gardens Observatory, an interactive science programme where the general public can count the butterflies in the gardens.
Thanks to its partnership with the french association Noé Conservation, The Herboretum lists all the butterfly species present in its field.

Parcs et Jardins de la Région Centre (Parks and Gardens of the Centre Region)
Protecting, improving, and promoting the parks and gardens of the Centre region, south of Paris, is the goal set by the members of the Association des Parcs et Jardins en Région Centre (Association of Parcs and Gardens of the Centre Region), in order to preserve historical, cultural, botanical, and landscape heritage. The Loire Valley (reaching from the Berry, Eure et Loir, Touraine regions and further) is known as the ‘Garden of France’. This fame is due to the wealth of historical and more recent creations, and of a widely varied Art garden. The result is due to the designer’s ability to create a garden with its walls, steps, water mirrors, fountains, statues and plants. The garden doors are open. Come and visit, for the first time or for more, in all seasons, along the Loire river, hidden up close to the pretigious sites of Chambord, Chenonceau, Villandry... at the heart of the Val de Loire region, registered as UNESCO World Heritage.
