Herboretum

The Herboretum recognizes the value of biodiversity, source of goods:

By displaying plants which allow nutrition (edible plants), housing (construction wood), clothing (textile and tinctorial plants), healing (medicinal plants) and which may bring some kind of well-being to Man (phytocosmetic).

The Herboretum witnesses the ecologic services, the reality of which is belittled:

By showing a diversity of natural environments and by showing what Nature brings : pollination of plants (indispensable for the life cycle), air epuration (fixation of CO2), water depollution, soil fertility, organic matter recycling, etc.

In order to better present what biodiversity is, the Herboretum has been structured in a large garden of gardens, which expresses a diversity of themes, natural or reconstituted ecosystems.

All these gardens bring into light the interdependance of the alive beings.
